Handmade Beads

So....I started making handmade beads!  I have to admit...I'm kind of addicted now!  You can see my Handmade Bead Album on Facebook HERE for all of the pictures!  Here are just a few for the sake of a blog post!  The first one, above, is made out of designer paper and Triple Thick Gloss Glaze.  I first learned about this type of handmade bead HERE.  I will be doing more soon!  The person who did the Youtube Video used Diamond Glaze but I didn't have access to that product so I ended up finding Triple Thick and think that has worked well thus far! :)
These are Plastic Beads that I have made from reusing Soda/Pop Bottles.  Lindsay (Lindsay's Stamp Stuff) inspired me to try these and I LOVE THEM!!!  So fun!  That video tutorial is HERE.  Another reason I am showing these TWO specific beads are because the coloring of them comes from CHALK (powder) and various mediums mixed together!  I can't wait to start posting for the new Chalk-Ah-Lot Design Team I am on!!!  Woot!  Stay Tuned!
Here you will see a few different things happening!  I reused the bottom of the soda bottle for storage and display as well as a separator and then you can see the paper beads on the bottom section with that BIG BEAD in there and the other beads are the plastic ones!  I LOVE all the different colors...from different mediums!  I have tried many!  If you click on the link to my FB Album you can see descriptions for each one...with more coming soon!  Below is another look at the Chalk ones :)

Very cool! I remember when Lindsay 1st posted this crafty technique, but I've never given it a try. Thanks for reminding me how great these are :)

Hi Jennifer,

It's nice to see you posting again. :)

Those turned out lovely.

You should check out Janet's blog. She makes her own beads her site is http://janet-singingwoods.blogspot.com/

Very cute Jennifer! I can't wait to see more done with the chalk. Also, what are you using to roll them on? I have no toothpicks. I have wooden shish-ka-bob sticks though. I might have to give this a try!
Thanks for the links to the tutorials. Just on emore thing I NEED to do now!

Needle Nose Plyers! or a Bamboo stick would work for the paper ones :)
