Happy Brides! - MyG DT

The week the MyGrafico Design Team worked with THIS SET and the first thing I thought was...PAPER PIECING!  It's been a while since I attempted this.  This layout is quite different for me, too!  I'm going to try and start using more punch out borders...I have TONS laying around...so...why not?

I ended up finding the perfect color match for the light purple paper and the flower and the gems are a more rich purple.  I'm also trying to use more and more of my scrap pile, too!  I highly doubt I will EVER be done with my scrap pile!

In other news I tweaked my craft room over the weekend!  I'm a very unorganized person so doubt I will ever do a video but it works for my scattered brain and personality!

My Time With MyG!

MyGrafico is BACK with a whole new Design Team! This time around it's not just digi stamps! It will feature any/all of their products with "thinking outside of the box" projects.

For my first project back with the MyG Team - we were creating with Digi Stamps this week so I did another wall hanging! We used THIS SET available at the MyG Shop and I decided to use the car...I LOVE THIS CAR!

My Review on this Tea Crafting Product:

First let me start by saying I already have LOTS of plans for this set! I think it’s wonderful and VERY easy to work with! What I did here is just open a free program like Picasa and so a simple color edit and insert text. This specific project I did all digital and will use as web buttons and logos, but I am also looking forward to printables, too!

I could probably work a reverse digi stamp or silhouette and craft with that or try some paper piecing even.

I really like the pastels! Eventho I am not usually a fan of the color pink it works really well here and often very popular for Victorian Tea Parties – so I completely understand the color choices! I, for one, am excited to use the greens for my projects. What I did here, tho, is tweak the color a bit, which, again, is VERY easy to do in many free programs.

I think this set is very versatile! Perfect for any tea lover, party planner, crafter, girlie-girl, kids crafts, digital divas, and otherwise!

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff is the MyG Designer of the week for the MYG DT and I am also on Lindsay's Team...so...below is my project for this week!I'm not into sewing so I wasn't sure if I would use this set much...BUT...check it out! "You're a real cut-up!" LOL - that cracked me up and HAD to use it!

I also used some adhesive ribbon and 'freestyled or freehanded' it's placement!

MyG Monday!

This week over at the MyGrafico DT we worked with THIS SET from Stockberry Studio! I really wasn't in the Fairy mood when I was creating this card so I was super happy there were two non-fairy digi stamps in this set! I went with the flower and came up with this card! Just goes to show you how diverse Digi Stamps are! Just because it's a specific set doesn't mean you have to use it as such! Don't get me wrong...I do LOVE the fairies in this set and have used them before and will use them again...I was just in a different mood this past weekend while creating!

I'm Back on the MyGraficO DT!!!

I'm really excited to be back on the MyG DT! For the short time I was away I ended up missing the girls on the team! They are a great group of girls! At first I was going to come back as a GDT but Tazza and I discussed it and now I am back FULL TIME! :)

LOTS of Boxes!

This week Lindsay challenged her DT to find ways to package up Christmas/Holiday gifts. I fell in love with her Pretty Packaging Printable Templates that can be found HERE. She also has SVG Files for those who create with Cricut and SCAL and like programs!

I will warn you - this is going to be a long post! I have LOTS of pics! Specifically this Gift Card Holder/Gift Box that I used this week! Check out all the little gifts I could fit in it...

Here's the back of one I did. I used Chipboard stickers and Stickles for texture and sparkle!

Here is one I stuffed with Loose Leaf Tea! I used Martha Stewart Two Sided Holiday Paper.

If you are anything like me I like to trick people! in the past I have switched boxes on people to make them think they are getting one thing and they end up getting something totally different! For example...maybe take an old cereal or noodle box and fill it with something they wouldn't expect in a million years! Now that I am into paper crafting - this is even more fun! I noticed that my XM Roadie would fit in this box perfectly - so that's just one more packaging idea I have for you today!

And these are awesome for smaller gifts as well! When I first started making these I was thinking Gift Card - but I haven't actually purchased my gift cards YET! Ooops! If you are using this template for gift cards you can also make it flat, too!

And lookie here!!! What is this!? A TAPE!? Who listens to tapes anymore!? Well, I have two ideas here! One being 80s party or Retro Themed Gifts...think MIX TAPE! The other being...my parents...when recordable tapes first came about my father was in the military and dating my mother (during Vietnam). My mother, her mom, and his parents used to sit around the kitchen table and play cards and TAPE themselves having daily conversations, having fun, and, well, drinking, and then send the tapes to my Dad overseas! I thought this was not only a great gift idea for soldiers or students away at college but also for my parents to put those old tape in and label them for keepsakes even 35+ years later!

I just used this one template for today's project BUT...there are many that come in this set! Check 'em out! They are awesome and easy!
