Project & Retirement Sale

This week for the LSS DT we created projects using items from the sets that are being retired! I decided to go a little outside my comfort zone and use the OLD PAPERS Set to create this one. I haven't used this set at all yet. I ended up using one of the rectangle boarders for a layer here. I had another card made using the circle one but after taking the pictures I decided I really like the way this one turned out so I didn't want to use the other one. Against this one the other one looked messy (on my part). This just seems clean and simple and it was quick but more importantly it was fun and I LOVE these colors together AND I used a set I never used before! YAY!

Retirement Card

Here's a Retirement Card I attempted on Friday evening. I am pleased with the way it turned out. I am trying to find ways to incorporate some of my odd ball or left over letter stickers and wanted the RE part of RETIREMENT to stand out. I'm excited I found this patterned paper in my stash that ended up nearly matching my marker color I used for the grapes! Another thing I am pretty excited about is that I have been tinkering with my Martha Stweart Craft Markers and trying to blend or semi blend with them...it's an ongoing learning process, eh? Regardless I hope you like the card.
