2 Holidays and 2 Cards...

I decided to do two cards tonight for two holidays! The one above I tried to follow a sketch over at this blog:

and I am entering this card in that contest. An interesting thing about this card is that it DOES incorporate a Digi Stamp - The Digi Stamp is the star! It's one of Lindsay's Stars from the Happy Haunting Set but just the star and it was a little smaller than I wanted but didn't want to reprint it so I used Stickles to puff it out and make it look bigger than it was. This sketch was a little harder for me - I ended up flipping it on it's side and running with it that way!

Lindsay sure did challenge me this week!

On the LSS DT this week our challenge was to do "creative packaging". I must admit this is NOT my strong point. BUT...I really did try. Here is what I came up with...
I used a template I found online but I liked the dotted line where it told me to fold so I kept that visible. It just looked like it fit in with the font/handwriting on the sticker I added. The Digi Paper is from LSS. It can be found HERE and you can get it for FREE at MyGraficO.
I actually started off with this project but I wasn't sure if it would fit for actual packaging since the only thing I used was an image on the tag from LSS and that is part of this set

A Week Late and a Router Short

Last weekend our Router died and I've been behind on projects ever since. Here is the LSS project from last week. I used a recipe card embossed/template from this set along with the heart up on the top.

The Recipe is for Norwegian Christmas Cookies...there are many Christmas Cookie recipes I have from Norway. I started researching them last Christmas while doing my Norwegian Genealogy.
