There is a NEW Social Network for Scrappers/Crafters! It's called Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends. It was started as a group on Facebook but we wanted to expand so we joined NING.COM If you click the link above it should take you there. It's totally FREE and a very friendly place. There is always something going on! We've only been open for a week and have over 120 members and well over 400 pictures posted. There are over 40 sub groups and right now we have 4 challenges going on and we are looking for Design Team Members...all levels...all mediums are encouraged to join in! Hope to see you there!

My New Tool...YAY!

I got this half price at AC MOORE a few weeks ago. I was so excited! I'm still learning especially when it comes to the eyelets, etc. I did find out that you can punch a hole thru a CD with this nicely!

Bowdabra!

While at Walmart tonight I found this little gem. Since I have just recently gotten into ribbons and such in crafting I thought it might be handy. Especially because I am not good at bow making! It's a Bowdabra! I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I wanted to make sure I blogged about it to see if anyone else has used it. If so...what have your experiences been?

Vegetarian Recipe Book

A few weeks ago I went to my very first CLOSE TO MY HEART outing. We made these neat Recipe Books. Of course mine HAD to be a Vegetarian one!!! So here are a few pictures of the book I made. There are a total of 6 photos on my facebook account or you can take a look at them here.

I'm very exciting about attending more CLOSE TO MY HEART events in the near future. I think Tuesday is my next one, actually! We will be make various cards! YAY!

My Craft Room

I knew I took these pictures for a reason! These are pictures of my craft room when I first "moved in" to the space. Needless to say...it soooooo doesn't look like that now! I really must clean it! BIG TIME! Here you can see some of my drawers, bins, and part of an old desk I use for a surface and storage.
Here is more of the desk and some cork boards and dry erase boards and you can see a book case and a little storage spot under the desk mentioned above.
My multimedia center! TV, VCR, DVD, AM/FM Stereo, 3 CD Changer, more storage (which is since filled), a chair, a small cub-E hole in the wall which is a little bit more storage, etc.
This is the Computer Center. I usually "work" on a laptop but this is the place I upload photos, print, and edit...pretty much everything else is done on a laptop which is set up down stairs, but, of course, is portable. It's not out of the ordinary for me to have the laptop in the same room while uploading or downloading pics on the BIG MONSTER pictured here.

Anyhow...I posted these pictures to remind myself that I really need to clean my craft room! I'm not looking forward to it...but it has to be done! OH! Plus...now I have a large table in the middle of the room, too!

Welcome Friends and Family!

I've been thinking about a place like this for a long time. I've finally made the move and decided to do it but with a purpose. My Blissful Place will be a spot for me to keep in touch with my friends and family while posting about the things I love. Everything from Scrapbooking, Crafting, Photography...to things that are happening in and around my garden, kitchen, and home. You'll see some of the vegetarian and vegan dishes I try. PLUS you are sure to see pictures of my wonderful pets and favorite sports events and travels, I am sure! I'm going to try and keep this place as positive as possible so as hard as it may be for me NOT to vent about current events or politics - I will be keeping this zone drama-free.
