WW: Just Ducky

Thank You, Melissa!

I received this award from Melissa! Thank YOU, Melissa!
Here are the rules:
* If you are tagged, you must firstly post the rules:
* Write 7 strange characteristics about yourself. They interest us all!
* Tag 6 other people at the end of your Post.
* Visit everyone that you have tagged and leave a comment on their blog to let them know that they have been tagged. So here are my seven strange characteristics:
1. I collect Unicorns and Baseball Cards
2. I'm a Stargate Atlantis Fan
3. I'm a vegetarian
4. I sometimes trip on flat surfaces, burst into song and/or dance, and laugh at somewhat inappropriate times.
5. I have 5 "furkids"
6. At one point in my life I had over 120 pen pals from all over the world!
7. Some of my fingers, toes, and one wrist and shoulder are "double jointed"

Here are my five:

Blue Crown Update

One of the first posts I wrote when I started blogging was about my Blue Crown Passion Flowers. I thought I would do an update on them! I'll tell you! I absolutely LOVE this plant! I've never been so attached to a plant before!!! Well, accept for "Glads" which will ALWAYS bring back memories of my Grandmother. Above is a picture I took last night of one of the Blooms. I still LOVE how complex this flower is! I take a stroll back to see them every day!
Here is a picture of 2 blooms side-by-side. The fun part with this flower is that some days there will be 1 or 2 blooms and others days there will be several. You never know when they will open and close! Yesterday - when I took these pictures - there were 7 blooms!
Here you can see just how much it has traveled in one season and it you look REALLY close you will be able to see the blooms and the side-by-side bloom in the upper left hand corner.

Blue Crown Passion Flower

Here is my Blue Crown Passion Flower. Some people will tell you I am obsessed with my new plant this year but I LOVE it! When I saw it at Lowe's it was the first time I saw anything like it! I had to buy it. It's now in front of our shed - it's a traveler. It can grow up to 30 feet in one season. The plant buds these awesome looking flowers. Occasionally you might see it bud a small orange as well. Below you can see it just starting to travel. It's much bigger now...and I gave it more support to travel up the side of the shed. I'll have to take more pictures soon!

Welcome Friends and Family!

I've been thinking about a place like this for a long time. I've finally made the move and decided to do it but with a purpose. My Blissful Place will be a spot for me to keep in touch with my friends and family while posting about the things I love. Everything from Scrapbooking, Crafting, Photography...to things that are happening in and around my garden, kitchen, and home. You'll see some of the vegetarian and vegan dishes I try. PLUS you are sure to see pictures of my wonderful pets and favorite sports events and travels, I am sure! I'm going to try and keep this place as positive as possible so as hard as it may be for me NOT to vent about current events or politics - I will be keeping this zone drama-free. Grab a cup of tea and relax...comments welcome!
