Stampelkallan's Project of the week - Altered Notebook

On Saturdays The Stämpelkällan DTs share our Project of the Week! Some of our team members have been creating things with a certain theme in mind. For me...I used the stamp of the week this week The Living Tree - I LOVE him! Scroll down to see my card from yesterday!

This week we did altered notebooks and I chose to alter the cover of one of my Art Journals! Be sure to visit the blog for more ideas and to check out the rest of the Design Team!

Pens!!!! And...FROGS?

This week the Design Team for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff was 'charged' with the ANYTHING BUT A CARD Project.

I must say...that I started my paper crafting adventure as a traditional scrapbooker and did that for YEARS...never thought about doing cards up until a few years ago...cards are so easy to make and are a QUICK project to stay active in the paper crafting world. Lately I have been spitting out project after project and have mostly done Wall Hangings, Cards, and Album Title Pages because they are quick and fun and great things to do with Digi Stamps.

This time around I decided to do an Altered Tin...I cheated a little tho...I had the paper and finish on this tin already. So...this morning I added the Digital Stamp - THE FROG - From LSS's Pretty Princess Set - and then added BLING and Flowers and Alpha Stickers!

Yes! It's an altered tin for some of my PENS! This is one FUNKY-FRESH-FROG!

And Lindsay is awesome...not only as a designer but as a friend...thanks for checking up with me today, girl!

LSS - Recycled Item & Challenge!

WOW! Last week was CRAZY! Lots of strange occurrences but those are hopefully in the past and I am ready and rearin' to go...errrr something...

Anyhow...I'm 3 days late posting my LSS DT Project but Lindsay and the rest of the girls were nice enough to let me join today's group of DT posters!

Lindsay, of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, is running a challenge on the What's Digital Stamping yahoo group and asked the DT to join in. The challenge is to make a project using a digital image (stamp, coloring page or ding bat font) and at least one recycled item. All entries before January 7th will be entered in a drawing for a stamp of your choice from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff shop. If you are new to digital stamping and are looking for some free images, take a look at Lindsay's blog or on MyGrafico, there are plenty of freebies on both.

So...here are my projects for this...

This one is a Tea Bag Holder. I did have a picture of the inside but forgot to upload - sorry! The little pinkish-purple-red thing sticking out of it is a Yogi Tea Bag. You can purchase this set HERE. And it's available from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff on MyGrafico! The recycled item I used was the cream colored text/handwritten paper in the background. I reused the backing of a Scrapbooking embellishment package. Here is a look at the back of it while it's open. Since I drink a lot of tea and swap a lot of tea I will be making TONS of these! They are super easy to make and are very versatile!

Using the same template I found online but nothing recycled on it...I made this SEED HOLDER, too...it's made with an image from the same set from LSS!

Design Team Project *TEA*

Over at Scrapbooking & Crafting Friends our Design Team has a new sponsor...MY GRAFICO...they are wonderful people over there! They sent us this set CATS MEOW STAMPS to create with this time around. I 'charged' our DT with several themes...one being TEA...here is a little project I did for it. It's a simple little ditty. I used My Grafico set and water color paints - a few stickers (KC I think) and some bling on card stock. I like to reuse old plastic pants hangers so that is what is holding it.

Our next Themed Call to the DT will be going out today or tomorrow. If you are interested in joining the DT please join the network and then let me know! Thanks!

Angel Wings

Here is an altered project I did for the current PAMC Challenge that I belong to as a DT Member. This was fun and brought back memories. This is my darling Snowflake - we got her when I was 3 and she lived to be 21...she passed away in 2001...I miss her everyday! I thought the WINGS theme was perfect for something like this and I was still in CD Alter Mode (see previous post) and thought I would alter another one. For more examples and more info on the challenge and how you can enter your project please take a look at this blog

PAMC Altered CD Challenge

It was my turn to post the Challenge over at PAMC this week. I hope you will jump in and participate...it's a great group! Below is what I posted - check it out when you have time!

I thought it would be fun to do something with Altered CDs. Use any or all of those old CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, etc that you get from trials, or old scraped/cracked ones from years past and create ANYTHING from them. Here are a few examples from our Design Team. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Green Art

I've been attempting some altered projects lately and some of them I haven't been able to post because I was waiting for them to be featured in the newest edition of ReadySetCreate! Since the edition is now out I can post about them! YAY! This first one wasn't featured but the idea was...it's a Dog Treat Box made from parts of an old Cereal Box.
These Magazine Holders are also from old cereal boxes

And here is a Trash Bag Holder I made from an old Trash Bag Box.

More Projects

And these are the last of the projects from 2 weekends ago! I guess I got more done than I thought. WOW! This is just a card I did inbetween challenges by using scraps. I like the way it turned out. PLEASE scroll down...there are 2 posts for today! Lots more to see folks! lolWe learned how to make bows! This is a picture of my FIRST attempt. It's a little shabby but I know NOW that I need to make the loops tighter! I will certainly be trying this one again!
AND these TWO pictures are a fun little project I tried. I took an old pants hanger...and the back drop is actually the backing of an old cereal box. On one side I did a TGIF theme and on the other side a MONDAY AGAIN theme. I took it to work and have it hanging in my office. Monday thru Thursday have the MONDAY side up (lol) and Friday I have the TGIF side up!

AGAIN...be sure to scoll down and see my other post for today! :) Thanks!

Big HUGE post - more projects from last weekend!

Here is an altered project I did. I'm not too into altered stuff yet only because I haven't really tried so here is an attempt.
Then we have some cards
And a few layouts! The TREE one was from a Scrabble type challenge
And this one we needed to do flowers as part of the paper design - in random placement
Actually, I still have more to post but it would only let me upload these for now...stay tuned for some more!
